Overview
When translated from Arabian, Bahrain means “two seas”. This island country has got its name because it is surrounded by the saltwater of the Persian Gulf, while ground hides rich sources of freshwater. The nature of these islands is magnificent and inimitable. According to a theory of some scientists, here has been located the famous Eden garden that is mentioned in the Bible.
Main sights of the country can be found in its capital Manama. Here visitors can make an excursion to the old Portuguese fort which territory is now used for archaeological excavations. Al Khamis Mosque is one of the most ancient Islamic buildings situated in the same region.

Climate
Bahrain gets very hot in the summer, averaging a temperature of 97 degrees. The winter is much more comfortable with a low of 59 degrees with scattered rainstorms.

Summers in the Persian Gulf are unbearably hot, but surprisingly this is the most difficult time to find Bahrain cheap flights. It’s also tricky to score a deal on a flight to Bahrain for New Year’s Eve. Manama experiences extremes when it comes to temperature - more than 115 degrees in the summer season to 45 degrees in the winter season. Most travellers prefer the fall, when temperature averages from 65 to 70 degrees.
