Overview
The graceful Red Sea coast city of Jeddah is comparatively more accessible than other regions of Saudi Arabia. Also being a doorway to pilgrims heading towards the holy cities of Medina and Mecca during the Hajj season, it becomes a beautiful holiday destination in its own right. The city is popular for its historic coral houses set in old town district or al-Balad, the highest fountain in the world - the King Fahd Fountain, and the striking floating mosque.
The ancient walled city of Jeddah was historically one of the most important sites in the Arab world, and you’ll certainly want to see the towering coral houses that were the home of some of the most prominent traders. Naseef House is one of the best-preserved and has been transformed into a museum.
