Cheap Flights to goa

Overview
Want a little love, peace and happiness? See yourself flying to a hip place nowhere other than Goa. This state, known around the world as a hippy-haven, became a hot-spot destination in the 1970s for flower-power travellers seeking a bit of respite from the chaotic and overly-influenced Americanized world. Peace-loving backpackers book cheap flights to Goa for sun-soaked days on the sandy beach and submerge in all-night rave parties.
Earlier flooded with Birkenstock-wearing Bohemians, Goa is now a high-fashion destination spot for all kinds of tourists, even the most discerning ones. From luxury home interior design stores to speciality retail clothing boutiques, Goa remains a haven for trendy travellers. If planning to celebrate New Years or Christmas, ensure that you book your flights beforehand - at this time of the year, you’ll be spending the holiday with thousands of other tourists and Goa flights and accommodations are pricey.
Goa’s allure remains the same today as it did decades ago. Its distinctness from other India states lies within its Portuguese and India influences. Laid-back and inviting – the casual attitude of Goa remains the same throughout the journey.

Climate
It’s Arabian Sea location infuses humidity into the air year-round, but the heat hits in May when temperatures reach into the 90s. Rain is certainly something to consider when booking cheap flights to Goa; monsoons take the stage in June when the city averages 118 inches of rainfall.

Especially around Christmas and New Years, the city glows in celebration, and its tolerable temperatures draw people to enjoy the outdoors and have fun in the streets.

Goa Attractions and Activities
1. The Beach
Candolim would be nothing without its beach. Literally, part of a much longer strand encompassing Calangute and Baga, Candolim beach is much of a laid back and usually less packed beach than those resorts. And the water is just as warm and inviting.

2. Great Goan food
Dining well in Goa is easy. It's a great place to sample Goan cuisine, from crusty pao bread to locally caught pork vindaloos, whitebait and sorpotel. Clubbing Asian and European influences, it's a genuine culinary adventure.

3. Goa's Tropical Climate
Often called a tropical paradise, Goa’s temperature rarely dips below 70 degrees, and it's easy to see why. It's the ideal place to sip pineapple or mango cocktails in hammocks as the Indian Ocean laps at the shore.

4. A Relaxed Good-time Vibe
Unlike some neighbouring resorts, Candolim manages to juggle being a developed tourist centre with a laid-back, sedate atmosphere. Seeking full-moon parties and hip clubs? Well, they aren't hard to find, but families can avoid noise with ease during beach vacations as well.

5. Historical Appeal
Candolim’s surrounding area was a Portuguese foothold on the Indian subcontinent from 1510 until 1961 due to which the European presence has left a plethora of historical attractions, from Se Cathedral to Fort Aguada in Old Goa.

Tips for your stay in Goa
  • Visiting Goa during the peak season can be a big mistake as you can spend most of your time in traffic jams.
  • Calangute – Baga – Candolim or Anjuna beaches are the most crowded ones and it is recommended not to stay at these places.
  • At the prepaid taxi counter, find some fellow travellers who are heading towards your direction - travel along with them in a shared taxi and save some money.
  • If visiting very late at night and do not have the energy to search for the accommodation, make sure you book your bed in advance.
  • Riding a rented scooter is the best way to explore Goa.
