Cheap Flights to alicante

Overview
If you’re ready to fiesta and flamenco all night long, book a flight to Alicante and let the nightlife consume you. Situated on Spain’s eastern coast, Alicante has everything a trendy traveller could want: parties, discos, sun, sand, and of course, a couple of very cool castles and museums to break up one’s day on the beach.
Flights to Alicante are packed with sun-worshippers during the summer months, but there’s plenty to do in the off-season. Due to its coastal location, Alicante enjoys perfect weather throughout the year but cheap flights to Alicante can be found during the winter months only. It might be a bit chilly, so make sure you pack your jacket and stroll down the Paseo de la Explanade – Alicante’s seafront promenade featuring open-air cafés and outdoor musicians. It’s no wonder the destination is one of Spain’s most visited cities – it’s an adventure, excitement and individuality keep travellers coming back for more.

Climate
Once you book your low-cost flight to Alicante from Cheapflighticket, be sure to pack your sunscreen! Spain’s Costa Blanca is sunny year-round, even throughout its mild winters. Alicante’s seaside location makes for a perfect summer spot, which is convenient when the temperature reaches scorching highs come summertime at 31 degrees C (about 90 degrees F). If your flight to Alicante falls somewhere outside the summer months, don’t fret: the coastal city’s mild climate is a bit rainier and colder in the fall and winter, but temperatures rarely dip below 6 degrees C (40 degrees F).

Best Time To Visit
Costa Blanca, the “white coast”, is aptly named for its infinite stretch of sandy beaches. These beaches provide the perfect background for basking in the summer sun, which means flights to Alicante during from May through the end of August will be pricier and lodging will be difficult to come by.

Alicante Attractions and Activities
1. Castle of Santa Barbara
Crowning Benacantil mountain, the vast, monumental rock looming over Alicante, is a fortress with medieval Arab origins. The most recent renovations took place during Spain’s Golden Age in the 1500s, but if you look closely you’ll find little fragments from Moorish times. If you go on foot the best time to make the climb is early in the morning before the sun is at its fiercest, but there’s also a lift that runs from just behind Postiguet Beach.

2. Explanada de España
Alicante’s refined, the marble-laid promenade is useful for way-finding, as it starts in the old-town and continues along the city’s seafront next to the marina. In most Spanish cities a family walk is part of the lifestyle, and promenades like the Explanada de España help you do it in style.

3. Archaeological Museum
Alicante’s MARQ Provincial Archaeological Museum is just the place if you’re wondering about Alicante’s origins. You’ll start in prehistory with the hunter-gatherers and see the first hand-crafted metallic items forged around Alicante. Then there’s the Iberian room, devoted to the many pre-Roman archaeological sites close by that have yielded wonderful pieces of sculpture and ceramics.

4. Casco Antiguo
You won’t mind getting lost in the old part of Alicante, a bit like a village in the centre of town. This neighbourhood is sprawled on the hillside beneath the castle, and to get around you’ll need to negotiate steep streets and stairways between high whitewashed walls.

5. Postiguet Beach
Right next to the old town is a very serviceable beach, if you don’t want to travel far for a dose of sea and sand. A finger of golden sand, Playa del Postiguet is washed by light waves. You have to wade out quite far before the sea even reaches waist-height and from the water, there are great views back to the dominant walls of Santa Barbara.

Within the city, taxis aren’t that expensive, and at the same time, are a lot convenient to cover short distances. If you’re going far, use the bus or tram. Avoid traffic jams by travelling via tram. There are three stations in the city: MARQ (located near the Archeology Museum of Alicante), Mercado (near the central market), and Luceros (located below Plaza de Los Luceros). The C-6 bus offers easy transportation between the city centre and the airport. Three buses arrive each hour, and you can expect to wait about 20 minutes for one to arrive.

Tips for your stay in Alicante
  • When visiting church or temple, women are advised to wear long skirts and men should wear pants - if clothes are erotic and revealing, you might be rejected from entering.
  • Say No to smoking in public areas. If violated, you might be punished and compel to pay a large fine.
  • Renting beach equipment is quite expensive so kindly purchase your umbrellas and other things instead of renting.
  • Choose to cover the whole city through subways and buses.
  • Refrain from visiting the city in the autumn season as it rains heavily.
